I’ve got a great blog post to share today despite some pretty awful weather on the day. Well it was October so guess there was a chance of rain - unfortunately it didn’t stop all day. Despite that the wedding was perfect starting with the bride and grooms preparations at their beautiful home. There was plenty going on and the children were just perfect little models. Leannes dress was certainly a stunner as were the bridesmaids and flower girls. Patrick went for the Long tail and looked perfect to greet his soon to be wife at the alter.

Autumn Wedding at Friern Manor

After a beautiful church ceremony at the quaint St Mary and All saints Church in Langdon Hills it was off to Friern Manor for the reception. Located in Dunton near Brentwood Friern Manor is in a great location for South Essex Weddings. As a Basildon wedding photographer this Georgian manor house is one of the best in the area and has four acres of grounds with plenty of interesting planting - some even tropical looking trees and shrubs. The venue is large and staff are always helpful and accommodating here.

With little chance to get outside much as the rain was pretty constant most of the pictures were taken in doors but we managed to snatch a few of Leanne and Patrick outside when the rain settled a little. The venue was set up with lots going on including a photo booth, kids games in two teepees, piano, violinists, trumpeters, two magicians and a band for the evening to name a few. There was always plenty going on for me and my videographer. The party went on late into the evening with the top band playing two sessions and the dance floor was jammed. Although we were booked until 10pm we ended up staying for the second band session - they were that good.
