This historic location provides an unforgettable backdrop for saying "I do". The warm and inviting atmosphere creates an intimate setting, the staff here are amazing to and ensure that every detail of the special day is well planned and executed. The combination of rustic charm, sweeping views of the lush surroundings, and modern amenities make Cooling Castle Barn a great choice for a romantic and unforgettable wedding celebration. For our photography and film we were spoilt with scenery and charm all enclosed in a perfect wedding venue.

The Preparations at Cooling Castle Barn
The preparation room is large and light with a balcony leading to a stone pathway to a little hidden nook with a bench and surrounded by flowers. You reach it via a sweeping stair case that in itself makes for beautiful photos.
The Ceremony Room at Cooling Castle Barn
Charming and rustic probably describes it best. The entrance for a partner is superb, walking across the balcony and down the stairs with the window silhouetting you as all the guests look on.
The Wedding Reception Room and wedding breakfast
The attention to detail at Cooling Castle Barn is awesome with fairy lights decorating the beams in the barn making for some lovely backdrops in the photos. This is the main area used for the meal and then the party. It really is stunning as the newly married couple walk into the room and receive their drinks. It’s a very large room so can accommodate large wedding parties. A few wedding photos straight after the ceremony is a must, and you can even use the balcony for a great photo option too.
The Grounds at Cooling Castle Barn
The gardens are tended perfectly with pops of colour everywhere you walk. The entrance with the twin towers is stunning with a small road sweeping around into the venue. An enclosed lawn and patio area is a perfect place for guests to mingle and chat in privacy from the outside world. With a few nooks and crannies at the back of the garden you’ll find some guests sitting and chatting up there during the evening.
There is accommodation for guests as well as a beautiful dressing room for the bridal party complete with a lovely private bench area enclosed with a stone wall. Accessed with stepping stones for some unique preparation photos.
