Crondon Park In Essex could be your perfect wedding venue

The Crondon Park wedding venue is located in Stock, Essex and has the beautiful Baronial Hall as the centrepiece barn. Built around 1600 from light-coloured oak in a Tudor/Jacobean style.

The Preparations

The Granary is a separate building adjacent to the Baronial Hall and set up for the preparations and honeymoon suite. It overlooks the fields with its full length corner windows and has its own private garden with fountain.

The Ceremony

The Ryder room is part of the Baronial suite and is where the wedding ceremony will be held unless you choose an outside wedding of course. The lawn outside has a fountain in the centre and is lined by tall trees providing a nice inclosure. Photos within the grounds can be framed with the trees or the fountain in the background. The space outside the Ryder room is the allocated place for a lovely outside wedding. They have recently added a large awning too, providing welcome cover for those less-than-perfect days.

Couple Portraits

For the bride and groom, a very short walk reveals a pond with a bench and is a great starting point for some natural photos. Across the path opens up the beautiful surrounding fields for some stunning natural portrait photography and video. Normally reserved for warmer months when the ground is dry. You can take in the beautiful views of the fields and crops making lovely natural backdrops. This can also be a great location for romantic sunset photos and film too. To top it off we often fly a drone over the couple as they take a stroll hand in hand across the fields.

Family and Group photos

Group Photos can be kept within the lawn area for convenience and there’s plenty of space for the largest of groups.

Having photographed and filmed many weddings at Crondon Park I feel qualified in saying this is a great choice if you’re going for the barn style. It’s a photographer’s dream with the superb barn and all its character, great high ceilings and plenty of space throughout the barn and grounds.

The Wedding Breakfast

The large Baronial room can accommodate large wedding parties with plenty of light during the day and is lit beautifully for the evening function with hundreds of LED lights making for a magical atmosphere. They can even colour-coordinate the lighting for you. The solid wood flooring adds to the medieval feel of the venue and together with the lighting makes for some wonderful photography.

Living locally I really enjoy my visits to Crondon Park as the variety you get for photos and film is always memorable. Even in the winter months, the beautiful colours from the surrounding trees provide interest or when snow topped you get that great English winter wedding. Situated off the Stock road you venture deep into the valley before you approach the venue, and get a glimpse of the atmosphere within.
