Preparations at Maidens Barn
Maidens Barn has a separate area for bridal preparations which has ample room and facilities including a small kitchen area. A large mirror as well as wall mounted mirrors aid the make-up and hair artists. It’s secluded away from the main areas so preparations are kept private.
Ceremonies at Maidens Barn
Up to 200 guests can be seated if you choose an outdoor ceremony or the oak barn is a large indoor ceremony area with a choice of chair layout. Walking the aisle from the back has plenty of space even for large weddings. The Barn is lit well from the side and in summer months the patio doors at the front can be open to the views of the gardens.
Drinks Reception
The drinks reception area is well shielded and surrounded by seating and a large patio area. Through the archway will lead to a garden perfect for the group photos.
Group photos
The group wedding photos can be taken in the garden area, the terraced area or even outside in the grounds. I’ll opt for the garden area beside the patio for convenience. There are shaded areas here too for those hot sunny days.
Couple Portraits
A walk through an archway with a path leading to a small orchard is a good starting point. Then a walk down to the lake and up to the swing will provide lots of variation and superb backgrounds. You’ll be spoilt for choice and with combined packages including video a drone will add a special touch with overhead film of you both walking along the pathways.
Wedding Breakfast at Maidens Barn
The large wedding breakfast barn with balcony, wood beams and beautiful lighting definitely has the barn vibes. Plenty of light will stream through the many windows and you’ll enjoy your meal in style.
The Party
Party the night away in true barn style as the venues dedicated area has been well thought out and flows nicely from the seating areas. A large dance floor area is surrounded by mood LED lighting and a dark back wall decorated with tons of lights add a nice backdrop to your photos and party mood.
