Milling Barn Weddings
Located in the beautiful North Hertfordshire countryside, Milling Barn at Bluntswood Hall is a barn wedding venue on a farm.
The two main barns, the Milling Barn and the Oak Barn are 300 year old oak barns. The Dairy Barn is licenced to hold weddings and has a traditional barn vibe.
The Milling Barn is one of the largest in the area and can accomodate 144 guests but around 60-80 is more common here. You’ll have Milling Barn exclusively as only one wedding will be booked on a given day.

At the entrance there’s a tree swing which can be used in good weather and the barns offer a nice backdrop. Sadly the ground was too wet to use on the day.
For this wedding we walked along the path to the fields as the wet and soft grounds prohibited our photos on the fields. Fortunately you still get good backdrops as there’s plenty of nice scenery and backgrounds including the farmers field at the back. You’ll even get horses in the field most of the time too 🐴

There is a bespoke beautiful dressing room for the preparations and you’ll have use for the entire day.
The grooms party can be accomodated too if you’d like to get ready on site
Milling Barn has a romantic honeymoon suite with beautiful views of the gorgeous Hertfordshire countryside.
For the wedding party there are also 7 en-suite bedrooms so guests can dance the night away and retire when the party is over.

Outside there are the gardens and patio and a path leads you to the farmers fields with beautiful views. There’s even an old disused pigsty for some unique pics - if that’s your vibe 😀

The Oak barn has a traditional oak barn look and vibe. With mood light and candles its a lovely romantic place to marry.
The Group Wedding Photos at Stockbrook Manor
The private garden is the perfect place for the group photos. On a nice day the guests will be enjoying their drinks after the ceremony and everyone is in the same location making the groups and family shots easy to organise.
The large patio is a great alternative outside of the warmer months if the grounds are wet. It has amazing views over the grounds and no-one gets soggy feet 😀
The Wedding Breakfast and Evening
Wedding guests at Milling Barn are treated to delicious freshly prepared meals. The drinks are supplied food, and creative drinks which are provided by renowned catering company, The Chopping Block and have a nice creative edge.
There’s a balcony which we used for a unique Bride & Groom entrance and we ran a fun table dash too.
